Horizontal temperature gradient CAT Diagnostic

The horizontal temperature gradient is a simple measure of a front [Knox2016]. It has also been used in the GTG for diagnosing upper and mid-level turbulence. It is defined as,

\[|\nabla_{H}T| = \sqrt{ \left( \frac{ \partial T }{ \partial x } \right)^{2} + \left( \frac{ \partial T }{ \partial y } \right)^{2} }\]

where \(T\) is temperature

temperature (DataArray) – Temperature in Kelvin
