create_grid_data_frame

rojak.core.geometric.create_grid_data_frame(domain, step_size, crs='epsg:4326')

Build a (dask) GeoDataFrame of grid cells tiling a spatial domain

Parameters:

• domain (SpatialDomain | geometry.Polygon) – Spatial domain to tile. If a SpatialDomain, its rectangular bounding box is tiled (see create_rectangular_spatial_grid_buckets()). If a shapely.geometry.Polygon, only cells intersecting it are kept (see create_polygon_spatial_grid_buckets()).

• step_size (float) – Approximate width/height of each grid cell, in the units of crs

• crs (str) – Coordinate reference system of the grid. Defaults to "epsg:4326".

Returns:

Dask GeoDataFrame with one row per grid cell

GeoDataFrame
