class rojak.turbulence.analysis.DiagnosticHistogramDistribution(computed_diagnostic, num_hist_bins=None)[source]#

Computes histogram bins for log-normal distribution of turbulence diagnostics.

Implementation of the methodology in [Sharman2017] to map the raw diagnostic value into EDR

Parameters:

  • computed_diagnostic (DataArray)

  • num_hist_bins (int | None)

__init__(computed_diagnostic, num_hist_bins=None)[source]#
Parameters:

  • computed_diagnostic (DataArray) – Computed diagnostic values on the calibration dataset

  • num_hist_bins (int | None) – Number of histogram bins to use. Defaults to 50 if not provided.

Return type:

None
