Tile an arbitrary polygon’s bounding box into a regular grid, keeping only cells that intersect it

Parameters:

• domain (Polygon) – Polygon to tile

• step_size (float) – Approximate width/height of each grid cell, in the units of domain’s CRS

Returns:

List of rectangular polygons tiling domain’s bounding box, filtered to those that intersect domain

Return type:

list[Polygon]
